Seydou Keita was born in Bamako (Mali) on 16th January 1980. Now Seydou lives with his wife in Barcelona. When he was young he played football on the street and, when he was only 19 years old, he started playing professional football with Olimpique de Marseille.
Before he joint Barça, Keita played for two different teams in France: FC Lorient (2000-2002) and RC Lens (2002-2007). Finally, he played for Sevilla F.C. in Spain (2007-2008).
Seydou plays for Barcelona since 2008. He has converted into an essential midfielder for Barça team and he
became very famous around the world. He has won a lot of competitions with Barcelona F.C., and he is very happy with the club. In 2009 he has signed for 3 more years in Barcelona.
